Welcome to my blog. I will be posting some practical and reflective thoughts regarding the peculiar speech known as preaching. I invite you to offer comments and ask questions in this virtual community of people who recognize that preaching matters.

While Christ loves you as you are, His love is so powerful that it changes those who embrace it. How has the Christ’s love for you transformed you?
I'm grateful that Christ's love leads him to accept me as I am. I am just as thankful that his love doesn't leave me there- his love changes me for the better. Since opening up my heart to receive Christ's loving acceptance of me about 19 years ago, there have been many changes that his love has accomplished in my life. Perhaps the most significant change is that I am able to trust people. For a long time I had a tendency to keep people at arms length and to hide from them my true self becasue I was afraid if they saw the real me they wouldn't love me. I was also afraid that people would disappoint me. But now that I have Christ's unconditional love I am able to be real and to focus on loving and trusting people whether or not they appreciate it or recipricate. Lenny
I could wite a book on how Christ's love has transformed me! Since truly accepting Christ a few years ago, I am much more generous, couragous, forgiving, calm, humble, loving and patient!
I was the kid that was frequently picked on and the few good friends I would make usually moved away. I learned early on that Christ was my one true friend who would never leave me and accept me as I am and knowing this gave me the courage and desire to love others with that kind of loyalty and friendship instead of giving up on people which is what I was often inclined to do.
Christ Love has shown me how to reach out to others in many ways. Just knowing that he loves me makes me want to soar like an eagle, and not grow weary or faint! I love how he loves me with and everlasting love and how he loves those who I love also with and everlasting love!!!

I see all of those qualities in you Brad and I'm so thankful to God for what he has done in you.

His love is a verb for me - it is a verb that is healing me and hopefully healing others through me. It is enabling me to love myself
