If a friend asked you the question, "what is God's purpose for your life," how would you respond?

God gives us a different set of unique purposes at different points in our lives. But I would have to say that for now my purpose from God is to live, preach, and teach in a manner that helps people see the intersection of the biblical story with the story of their lives. Another purpose which I believe is from God is to help the church be the church beyond the walls of the church building. If you have been at SWC for a while you probably could have guessed this much about me.

Generally I would say that I am to worship and praise Him, a large part of that is loving other people, and the most important way I can love others is to serve them and point them to a relationship with Him. At this point, I feel particularly compelled and gifted to serve and mentor youth toward this relationship.

I think right now I would have to respond to this question by saying that God's purpose for my life is to use the time, abilities, and resources He's given me to love and help others in such a way that points them directly to Him.

My purpose . . . to live authentically, love wholeheartedly, learn as much as I'm able to about myself, others and God, and to persevere faithfully through both the good times and the bad, hoping to model Christlikeness to those God brings across my path and to please and honor Him in the process.

I would have to say that now in my life I believe God is calling me to use the gifts he has given me to show his Love to others through being an encourager and disciple people where he leads me. All in all for his Honor and Glory!

First and foremost, my purpose in life is to have a relationship with God, through his son Jesus Christ. When I am connected to God, I will love and help others!

Gods purpose for my life is to trust and know that I am in the profession I am for a reason. His will be done with the opportunities that He will open. I beleive my purpose is to take what I have learned and use it to the glory of God by helping to strengthen community ties through after school programs for our youth made possible by the support of community fundraisers.
