Yes we sin and yes we need to confess them. But by the grace of God we don't have to hold on to them we can confess them and know we are forgiven . Thank You Pastor Lenny, I look forward to Part 2 next week.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3246769289463858102.post-59746764244440206002009-01-06T17:14:00.000-05:002009-01-06T17:14:00.000-05:00Thank you, Pastor Lenny, for starting the New Year...Thank you, Pastor Lenny, for starting the New Year with a wonderful sermon. We all need to recognize that we are all sinners. Sin is not just the serious offenses, but also includes loving money, hating our enemies, holding grudges, lying, being prideful and so many other things where we fall short. Some of us fail to recognize some of these things as sins.

Since “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23), and we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), we would be condemned to the flames of hell, if Christ as the ultimate scapegoat did not carry away our sins.

Since God could not let our sins go unpunished, he sent the perfect Lamb to bear the sins of those who trust in Him. Only God could have designed this perfect plan of salvation.

As I reflect on 2008 and begin 2009, I need to confess my sins, accept His forgiveness and cleansing, remember this amazing gift of salvation, be totally thankful and strive to live a life that pleases Him!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
