As t...Pastor Lenny, ALWAYS great to hear from you! As to your subject, this sin and all sin is NOT new to or for the Church. The Apostle Paul received revelation and insights directly from The Lord on this type of sin. In short, Roms 10:14 clearly presents the need to deliver the The message hot and fresh- "how shall they hear without a preacher." Preacher's have to preach "The Message of The Gospel. The Holy Spirit according to 2 Tim. 2:25 admonishes"the Lord's Servant" to correct his opponents with gentleness." Correct they must do. I'm reminded of your book in Chapters 2, 3 and page 67 where you say, 'Unfortunately, too many pastors get stuck within the walls of the church building and experience the tunnel vision that makes seeing into the heart of the community difficult. The Gospel needs to be shared regardless to any resistance. He has not given us the spirit of timidity, but of "power" (2 Tim. 1:7). All sin needs to be confronted with gentleness, but confront we must. Blessings! As we began to go through it one part I found rather fascinating was what God kept on saying about the Nicolaitans. I looked more into them to find out that there was a lot of focus on the love rather than the full use of both Exegetical Theology and Love. Many Christians today tend to make that mistake or choice by thinking that there is a compromise to be had in order to help those accept Christ in their lives while maintaining their pet sin's health. Thanks for a great post and a great reminder to all the we need to both stay true to the Whole Word of God and do it with the love of Christ.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18007810620327841145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3246769289463858102.post-23627557820692233752014-12-02T15:19:55.288-05:002014-12-02T15:19:55.288-05:00Wonderfully thoughtful! And what a truthfully gracious way open discussion on a topic that in many of my circles has traditionally been maintained as an either/debate with no gray area in between for true truth or true grace. Thank your this thought provoking post.Jeff Bradynoreply@blogger.com
